Customer Review: There is something for everyone
The book, is packed with information about body cleansing, treatment of obesity and other common ailments, proper nutrition, proper breathing techniques, taking care of your back, and much more. It is very comprehensive and compact. In fact a little too compact for my eyes - it would be easier to read if the letters were bigger. I wouldn’t mind if it was published in four or five hundred pages, or even in two different volumes.
You will find in the book many good alternatives to visiting your physician with a small disorder or inconvenience as we often tend to do. An example — drink a raspberry tea, instead of taking aspirin. Among all the plentiful advice you will also come across some that you might want to take with a grain of salt, but if you approach it with an open mind you will certainly find a lot of useful recommendations.
I happen to disagree with the author on some issues. Specifically, in my opinion the calculation of life expectancy seems to be based on some wrong assumption, but my goal is not to live 150 years anyway… As some of other reviewers mentioned, I wouldn’t make my own toothpaste, either. However, after you separate the grain from chaff and ignore all the elements that you consider too difficult or impractical, you will still be left with a lot of useful guidance that will help you lead healthier life.
The liver cleansing routine does require two full days of total devotion to your own self. It is not pleasant, either, as you first need to fasten for over a day, and then you need to drink alternatively olive oil and lemon juice. It is not easy, but it is very rewarding. I felt very much rejuvenated after cleansing of my liver. The good news is that you do not need to do it more often than twice a year.
The author also suggests fasting at least a few days a month. Not as a means to losing weight, but as a self-cleansing routine. Alternatively, if you prefer the easy way, take sauna each few days… By the way, the author also suggest an alternative, easy way of liver cleansing with the help of apple juice, but my experience tells me that “the easy solutions” most of the time don’t bring about as good results as “doing it the hard way”. And so on, and so forth…
To summarize: It is a good book, just pick up what you find useful and ignore the stuff that does not suit you. There is something for everyone. It’s a very much recommended title.

I will certainly keep this book handy and use it frequently treating myself and my family. It’s a book I’ve been waiting for a long time to read. Priceless information. Simple. Easy to follow. And the best thing of all, it costs you almost nothing! As one of the readers noted, this book can possibly make dieting industry die out, and many pharmaceutical companies with raised by them doctors would be out of business, if only people allowed themselves be wise enough to use very simple advice from this book. My mother, who is RN, almost never turned to prescription medications to treat my illnesses, on the contrary, many of her treatments were from holistic medicine, and some of them I find in this book. Wonderful book, amazing, wise! Yes, I can’t agree with part on reading character by eye colour and horoscope, but let it be a fun reading and not a scientific statement. Beside that, this book is extremely valuable.

Customer Review: An eye opener!
This is a great book for someone like me who doesn’t like to cook. It has a lot of the same cardiac health information available in other books and resources - decrease transfats and simple sugars, exercise, etc….nothing new on that front. But I do eat out quite often or raid the vending machine — that’s where the real eye popping information was in my opinion. One of my favorite fast food “healthy choices” was a sandwich that turns out to contain 720 calories!!!!! Nearly 1/2 of my alotted total caloric intake for the day - I had no idea! I think anyone with children, who resorts to fast food should read this book as well - just yesterday the little girl next door told me that she had pop and french fries and chicken nuggets for lunch…would her mom have made the same choices if she knew the nutritional content of that menu? I finished the book feeling much more positive about the health benefits that can be achieved without constantly being in the kitchen chopping and measuring.

Starts off with common sense information and many things we’ve heard before. Talks about the author’s decision to accept need to adjust food recommendations to fit within people’s busy schedules. Midway through book gets into particulars about specific fast food establishments and selection choices. I wish it were more comprehensive and a little better organized. But suggestions are helpful and I use them all the time.
